Support Our ESL Students
Roudy left Haiti dreaming of a better education, an accounting degree, and a business of his own so he could help his dad retire. He spent three months in Center for Literacy’s ESL classes, where his teacher Mitch helped him with vocabulary and English grammar, and has spent time every week of the last two years reading aloud with Center for Literacy (CFL) tutor Sarah, who helps him with his spoken English.
Roudy will graduate next year from Community College of Philadelphia with a Business Administration degree – and he’ll be a CFL tutor helping other immigrants improve their English.
Roudy is one of hundreds of adult learners who come to CFL for ESL classes every year. In fact, ESL requests are skyrocketing and now outpace requests for other adult education 2:1. CFL is prepared to serve these learners, but we need your help funding their education.
