Charles Rand
Director, External Affairs

Charles Rand is Director of External Affairs at CFL, responsible for planning, development, communications, marketing and public relations. He brings twenty years of entrepreneurial leadership, organizational design, and program development experience to the Center. Charles has founded four organizations, has served in leadership and board roles at for-profit and nonprofit organizations, and pioneered a micro-financing program in Indonesia. He has consulted for a dozen organizations in the area of development and has also engaged individual clients in values-based legacy planning. Charles has a BA in Philosophy from Mount Allison University (Canada), an MBA in Finance from Bentley University (Massachusetts), and is nearing completion of a PhD in community economic development at Southern New Hampshire University. In addition to receiving his CFRE in 1997, Charles has been on research teams at Harvard University as well as the Applied Research Center at SNHU.
