Create Opportunity

You can help facilitate the opportunity that education brings. By becoming a volunteer tutor, you can help your fellow Philadelphians get a better job, career, or go on to pursue higher education or technical training. As a volunteer tutor, you will have an opportunity to help create a difference in the lives of the students you work with and their communities.

We are looking for volunteers who would like to be trained to teach either English speaking students or English as a second language (ESL) students in Reading, Writing and/or Math.

– There are 3 tutor training sessions required to become a tutor.
– Due to State requirements, all tutors must have a 4 year college degree or currently be in the process of obtaining one.
– Tutors are asked to commit 3 hours a week for a minimum of 6 months to work with their learner.
– RSVP’s are required for each tutor training session.
