SURVEY WINNER DONATES COMPUTER BACK TO CFL
The interactive Adult Literacy and Impact Survey attracted over 1300 responses from 43 states over the course of five weeks. The urgency of the information made such an impact on one respondent that she was moved to support the CFL mission --- donating back to the agency a brand new computer she won for taking the online quiz.

On Monday, April 9, 2012, 7:30pm at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre, the Center for Literacy will host a special benefit performance by Philadelphia’s celebrated singer/bandleader Eddie Bruce in a program devoted to the music and life of the legendary Tony Bennett! Joining him for this one night only presentation will be the Tom Adams Trio along with David Evanier, author of the Bennett biography, "All the Things You Are," and well-known jazz deejay, Bob Perkins of WRTI-FM who will embellish the music with their anecdotes about Bennett’s life.

CFL strives to maintain and cultivate a network of tutors who help our learners achieve their personal, professional, and academic goals. Last year, CFL received 18,941 volunteer service hours from 265 volunteer tutors for a value of $241,498. Our tutors operate in every area of Philadelphia and parts of Delaware County.
