Description
In this workshop participants will be introduced to the only approved calculator that is permitted to be used on the first part of the GED Math Test. Topics that will be covered include:
- Orientation to the Casio fx-Solar Calculator
- Becoming Familiar with the calculator keys and operations
- Correcting a keying error
- Whole numbers
- Decimals
- Fractions
- Percents
- Using memory
- Powers
- Roots
- Signed numbers
- Equations
- Trigonometric functions
Applying these skills to successfully complete math problems that are similar to those that are on Part One of the Math GED Test
Workshop participants are encouraged to bring only Casio fx-Solar Calculators to the workshop. These calculators may be ordered through program managers or purchased at office supply stores for around $10.00
