This workshop will address the concerns of writing teachers eager to assist learners in their academic writing endeavors.  We will discuss methods to help learners respond to prompts, generate and organize their ideas, structure these ideas for clarity and focus, edit for content and proofread their work for errors in grammar, mechanics and usage.  We will address the best ways to teach grammar, how to maximize peer editing sessions and the use of rubrics in evaluating and assessing writing.
