Site Hosts
There are over 100 organizations throughout Philadelphia and Delaware Counties that provide CFL with space for classes and tutoring. Current site hosts include libraries, churches, community centers, and universities. Our site partners make it possible for us to provide services in neighborhoods we otherwise might not reach. We are tremendously grateful for their support.
If your organization is interested in becoming a host site, please contact us at inquiry@centerforliteracy.org.
How to Become a Partner
The Center for Literacy relies upon partners to fulfill its mission of serving a diverse population of learners in Philadelphia and Delaware Counties. We have a wealth of experience bringing effective programs into communities, and a network of partners that help facilitate, underwrite, host, advocate and/or champion literacy services.
CFL also provides workforce education to organizations, businesses, and industries interested in improving productivity by enhancing the quality of their labor force; collaborative initiatives with marketing, training, and job placement firms remain a strategic interest to CFL.
There are an estimated 400,000 adults living in Philadelphia with low literacy skills. In addition, there are tens of thousands of out-of-school youth fast approaching their adult years. The challenge of serving this population is enormous, and we can not do it alone. Both corporate and nonprofit organizations can make a difference, either with philanthropic grants, gifts in-kind (including media exposure, computer equipment, pro bono services), or in joining the development and/or implementation of innovative programs.
The Center for Literacy entertains inquiries from researchers, developers, community and faith based organizations, and other entities embracing the literacy mission. As a leading center for literacy, we are committed to advancing programs and practices that are efficient, effective and replicable.
If your organization is interested in exploring literacy ideas or programs, please send an email to inquiry@centerforliteracy.org.
