E3 Centers

Empowerment, Education, and Employment
The E3 centers are designed to help out-of-school youth achieve long-term goals in the areas of education, occupational skills, life skills and employment.  CFL Literacy Specialists provide instruction at each of the city’s five E3 centers, focusing on students reading below the 6th grade level.  Students receive personalized intensive instruction.  Instruction addresses specific needs and interests of the student, and is inclusive of employment and academic skills.

The E3 centers are funded by Department of Human Services and Workforce Investment Act, through contracts with the Philadelphia Youth Network in partnership with Communities in School, Philadelphia Health Management Corporation, Indo-Chinese American Council, Resources for Human Development and Congreso.
