Customized Training for Employees
CFL's workforce division partners with employers to develop a more skilled workforce with training uniquely designed to develop basic/foundation skills, critical thinking and skills to support leadership and team building.
Training is transformed into actual work performance with job-related skills courses and interactive workshops tailored for each workplace. The employer's materials are incorporated in short lecture, hands-on, team learning and creative drama-based activities.
Examples of customized workshops include:
- Communications - Customer Service, Active Listening/Effective Speaking
- Basic Skills - Writing Excellence, Workplace Math, Computer Basics
- Soft Skills - Leadership Development and Team Building
Skills for Employment Retention
CFL Workforce Performance Division provides training designed to sustain employment of newly hired, first time workers, training to facilitate adjustment, develop workplace skills and appropriate behaviors.
Education for Advancement
The CFL Workforce Performance Division can bring Center for Literacy educational programs to the workplace. Employees and employers can benefit from skills developed in our GED, Adult Diploma, and English as a Second Language programs.
CFL clients represent a cross section of business and industry including retail, manufacturing, healthcare, social service, education, public utilities, marketing and banking. We serve thousands of workers and supervisors in Philadelphia and Delaware Counties.
Services are provided at competitive rates. Instructional costs may be offset by grants from the Pennsylvania Department of Education and private funding sources.
